HISTORY

The I.J.N.'s mighty "Mavis"

The H6K was developed by Kawanishi in 1934 in response to the RAF's Short Rangoon biplane flying-boat. The first prototype took its maiden flight two years later. By 1938, the H6K was aiding the I.J.N. in the Sino-Japanese War. An ability to endure 24-hour patrols made the H6K ideal for bombing and long-range recon missions during World War II. This limited edition kit features new photo-etched radar parts.

This new limited edition kit from Hasegawa will allow you to build in nicely detailed version of this radar equipped Japanese flying boat.

SPRUE A

This sprue includes the fuselage halves, main wings, and outrigger floats. The panel lines feature nice engraving and the window openings are nicely molded.

SPRUE B

This sprue includes the upper and lower wing halves, and the crew figures.

SPRUE C

Movable flaps are included on this sprue as well as two rows of engine cylinders just to name a few items.

SPRUE D

The clear sprue includes the main canopy and smaller windows.

PHOTO ETCH

A stainless steel relief photo etch fret is supplied with the radar antenna.
